Kids Dental Care in Bali 2026: Clinics & Costs

Book your child's first dental visit when their first tooth appears, and no later than their first birthday. For ongoing care, ask the dentist how often your child should return, because the right interval depends on their teeth and risk of decay.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, checked 4 October 2026, advises cleaning gums from birth. Once the first tooth appears, use a tiny smear of fluoride toothpaste twice daily. Children aged three to six should use a pea sized amount, with help to spit it out rather than swallow it.

This guide is general orientation, not medical or dental advice. A dentist can assess your child's teeth, mouth, water source and fluoride needs. For broader care options, start with our Bali kids healthcare guide.

When to start, and what regular care looks like

The first visit is often short. It gives the dentist a chance to check tooth development, look for early decay, and help your child get used to the setting before treatment is needed.

At home, brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste. The AAPD says only water should go in a bedtime bottle, and advises against nursing a child to sleep. If thumb sucking or pacifier use continues past age three, ask the dentist about it.

A dentist may suggest a different recall schedule if your child has decay, pain, frequent sugary snacks, braces, special health needs, or a family history of dental problems. Ask for a clear plan in writing if your child needs more than a routine check.

Children's dental clinics in Bali

These details were checked 4 October 2026. Hours, staffing and appointment systems can change, so call or message before leaving home.

Dentology, Klinik Utama Dentology, is in Denpasar. Its official site lists pedodontic care, including cleaning, fillings and baby tooth extraction, plus preventive care such as scaling, polishing, pit and fissure sealant, and topical fluoride. It names two paediatric dental specialists: drg. Mustika Pramidi, Sp.KGA, and drg. Ida Ayu Istri Agung Krisna Kencana, Sp.KGA.

Dentology lists hours of Monday to Friday, 09.00 to 21.00, and says it is closed Saturday and Sunday. Its WhatsApp and phone number is +62 877-8310-2828. Dentology's site pages we checked do not show a street address, so confirm the location when you book. For nearby general healthcare options, see health clinics in Denpasar.

OMDC Kidz Dental Bali is at Jl Sunset Road No 11-12, Seminyak, Kab Badung. Its official location page lists hours of 10:00 to 18:00 and phone number 0812900900. The clinic describes a child themed Island of Adventure space with a ship and playground, and its published material says its team includes paediatric dental specialists (described in April 2024 press coverage and the clinic's own material; check who is currently available).

In press coverage from April 2024, OMDC said it charges the same price for locals and foreign visitors; we have not re-checked this. It does not publish a full price list in the material checked, so ask for a written estimate before treatment. The official page says 10:00 to 18:00, while older press material gave different hours. For local clinic options beyond dentistry, see health clinics in Seminyak.

Dentaland Sanur is at Jl. Bypass Ngurah Rai No.248e, Sanur, Denpasar Selatan 80228. Its site describes child care for caries and routine checks, with themed, playful interiors. No hours or prices were published on the page checked, so confirm both directly before booking.

FLOSS Dental Studio is at Geo Open Space, Jl. Raya Kedampang No.7X, Kerobokan 80361. It lists paediatric dentistry or children's dentistry among its services, with Monday to Saturday hours of 09:00 to 20:00 and WhatsApp 0812 6789 0835. The page checked does not name a paediatric specialist, so ask who will see your child and what experience they have with children.

Circle Dental Bali lists Kids Dentistry and Fluoride Protection. Its Nusa Dua clinic is at Jl. Taman Giri No.7, Benoa, with +62 877 7151 4466, and its Gianyar clinic is on Jl. Astina Utara, with +62 816 670 606. No hours or prices were found in the material checked.

BIMC Siloam Nusa Dua Dental Centre is at ITDC Block D, Nusa Dua. It lists Monday to Friday hours of 10:00 to 17:00 and Saturday hours of 10:00 to 15:00. Book through dentalcentre@bimcbali.com or +62 361 3000911.

BIMC's dentist list checked 4 October 2026 does not show a paediatric dental specialist, so do not assume there is one. A third party lists paediatric dentistry there, but this was not confirmed by BIMC's own page. See health clinics in Nusa Dua for other local healthcare information.

Unicare Clinic Ubud is at Jl. Raya Pengosekan No. 88, Ubud, near Monkey Forest Road. It works by appointment only and books through WhatsApp +62 822-9829-8911. Its site says urgent cases such as toothache, abscess, broken teeth and dental trauma are triaged by WhatsApp, and its FAQ says children can be seen for scaling, extractions and emergency treatment.

The clinic's own page gives two different sets of hours (3 PM to 8 PM WITA in one place, 10:00 to 18:00 in another), and it names no paediatric specialist. Treat it as a family and emergency option, and message first to confirm hours and who will see your child. For other local options, see health clinics in Ubud.

Kasih Ibu Hospital Denpasar has a Bali Dental & Implants Centre on its second floor. The hospital's website lists children's dentistry in a search listing, but we could not open the full page, so this is not confirmed. Ask the hospital which clinician sees children and when.

RSAD Denpasar, Udayana, lists drg. Sarah Kartimah D, Sp.KGA, a paediatric dentist. Its official page gives Jl. P.B. Sudirman, Denpasar Barat, and +62 361 4787610. No hours were found, so call before visiting.

A third party directory lists drg. Mia Ayustina Prasetya, Sp.KGA at Siloam Hospitals Denpasar, Jl. Sunset Road 818. The listed Wednesday evening and Saturday morning times are unconfirmed, so contact the hospital directly rather than relying on that listing.

Costs, insurance and written estimates

Only one official children's dental price list was found. BIMC's own published list, checked 4 October 2026, says prices are subject to change: a one surface composite filling is IDR 500,000, a simple child tooth extraction is IDR 450,000, a moderate child tooth extraction is IDR 600,000, and plaque and stain removal starts from IDR 500,000.

Those figures may not include every part of a visit. Ask what is included, whether an X-ray, consultation, medication, sedation, follow-up or emergency fee could apply, and get the answer in writing.

Dentology, OMDC, Dentaland and FLOSS did not publish prices on the pages checked. Ask the clinic for a written estimate. Insurance cover and out of pocket costs vary, so ask both the clinic and your insurer what they will pay before treatment.

Fluoride, toothpaste and Bali water

Indonesia has no nationwide community water fluoridation, according to the systematic review in the Journal of Dental Hygiene and Therapy checked 4 October 2026. For most children, fluoride toothpaste is the main fluoride source.

Bali tap water is not suitable for drinking or brushing teeth. Use safe water for brushing, and read our tap water safety for kids in Bali guide for the current household advice.

If your family mainly uses bottled or filtered water, tell the dentist. The AAPD says a dentist can assess fluoride in drinking water and discuss supplements if the water has none. Do not start fluoride supplements without dental advice.

What to bring to a first visit

Keep the first visit simple where possible. Bring any previous dental records, X-rays, medication list, allergy details and insurance information if you have them.

It can help to bring a water bottle, comfort item and a snack for after the appointment if the clinic allows it. Tell the clinic in advance if your child has sensory needs, medical conditions, dental anxiety or needs an interpreter.

How to choose a clinic

Start by asking who will treat your child. A dentist with Sp.KGA is a paediatric dental specialist, but a child may also receive suitable care from another dentist depending on the appointment and treatment needed.

Ask these two questions before you book:

  • Is a paediatric specialist, Sp.KGA, available for this visit, and who will see my child?
  • Can you send a written estimate before treatment, including likely extra costs?

Also ask what language the dentist and staff use, how they handle anxious children, and whether the clinic can bill your insurer directly. Direct billing was not confirmed for the clinics in this guide, so check rather than assume.

If you live near Sanur or Kerobokan, our older local clinic guides may help with nearby healthcare planning: health clinics in Sanur and health clinics in Kerobokan.

Dental emergencies

For a permanent tooth that has been knocked out, the International Association of Dental Traumatology says to stay calm and pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root. If the tooth is dirty, rinse it gently in milk, saline or your child's saliva, then replant it immediately if possible and have your child bite on gauze. If you cannot replant it, keep it moist in milk, or failing that in saliva (after spitting into a glass) or saline, then see a dentist right away.

Do not replant a knocked out baby tooth. The IADT says this can risk aspiration and damage the permanent tooth. Your child should still see a dentist urgently.

For a medical emergency in Indonesia, call 119. This guide does not confirm any 24 hour dental service in Bali, so dental trauma needs prompt contact with a dentist or clinic rather than an assumption that dental care is available overnight.

FAQ

When should my child first see a dentist? The AAPD says when the first tooth appears, and no later than the first birthday. This first visit can help prevent problems before your child has tooth pain.

How often should my child go to the dentist? Ask the dentist after the first visit. The right schedule depends on your child's teeth, decay risk and home routine.

Can my child brush with Bali tap water? No. Use safe water for brushing, because Bali tap water is not suitable for drinking or brushing teeth.

What should I do if my child knocks out a tooth? A knocked out permanent tooth needs immediate dental care and may be replanted. Never replant a baby tooth, but take your child to a dentist urgently.

Do Bali dental clinics publish children's prices? BIMC Siloam Nusa Dua Dental Centre published the price list in this guide, checked 4 October 2026. For other clinics, ask for a written estimate before treatment.

Save this guide, then contact the clinic directly to confirm the clinician, appointment time and written estimate. BIMC's published simple child tooth extraction price was IDR 450,000 on the list checked 4 October 2026.
