Homeschooling and “worldschooling” are widespread in Bali’s family community. Families commonly follow an online or home-country curriculum, join homeschool co-ops and micro-schools, and hire tutors for specific subjects. There are regular meet-ups and learning pods, especially around Canggu and Ubud.
Because homeschooling is outside the national system, families generally register with an online school or their home country’s programme rather than a local Indonesian school. If your visa or KITAS is tied to schooling, or you plan to enrol later in an international school, check the specific requirements for your situation.
